Hi everyone,

About due for another change in my 1998 328i. I have a small leak which has gotten slightly better with Rotella T6 + LubroMoly Oil Saver. It's not worth the $1500 it would cost to fix at this point, so I'm living with it and the oil spots on the driveway.

Should I stick with T6 or go with Maxlife 10-40. Temps are about 35 F when I start the car in the morning (it sits outside). I know both are solid oils, just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Nope, I changed the valve cover some time ago. I think it's coming from the timing case somewhere, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm on the "leave it until it gets worse, and hope it never does" mindset. The engine burns absolutely zero oil, and it doesn't leak enough for me to have to really add much in. I give it a splash every few weeks just to be safe.

I'd try maxlife.. I've actually had it help/reduce leaks in several vehicles now.

if they have AAP or oriellys out there you can do the valvoline nexgen maxlife deal

22.99 with filter + 20rebate card.
