Blue Colored ATF

Lately, I have seen two OE ATF fluids to be of a blue color instead of the usual red or amber. The two blue ATF's that I have seen are: 1- Mazda Type-FZ 2- Mercedes ATF134FE (236.15) Both of these fluids are very low viscosity. I believe the Mercedes one is 4.4cSt. Not sure about the Mazda one. Does anyone know if other OEMs are using a blue-colored ATF? I am curious if these are any similarities among these fluids.

Although technically not ATF, Subaru uses a blue CVTF.

I would not blame MB for differentiating that fluid. The Subaru CVT is probably the same as the Nissan Blue, as they went through different colors

Subaru has 2, Blue and orange... yet people still drain it thinking its engine oil.

Add Nissan to that list of blue transmission fluids. Nissan NS-3 CVT fluid is blue.

It's just an organic dye to differentiate products.
