Those will work pretty good, but for the next set, if you can go for the smallest rims that fit, to get as narrow and high profile as possible, as those would be the better IMO. Also, I like the studdable snow tires(left unstudded) as they have more space in the tread pattern so they cut through slush and deep snow better than unstudded ice tires IMO. You are probably going to be driving on more wet snow and slush than ice in MS. Blizzaks, Xice, and many others have a surprisingly small amount of space in the tread which makes them work better on actual ice, and they run quieter all the time, but for unplowed roads, they are worse than the old aggressive open tread snow tires IME.
Mustangs can work in the snow, I remember one snowy trip home in northern ontario and a guy with mid 2000's mustang GT passed 6 of us, going like 55 mph with the car just a little sideways the whole time, back tires throwing twin rooster tails... It was a very impressive piece of driving! I guess if you drive a Mustang around Timmins Ontario, you must have learned to hold a drift.
