Blizzak 6 Enliten Winter Tire

The well regarded Blizzak LM005 performance winter tire is being replaced by the strangely named Blizzak "6 ENLITEN".
Sometime this year I believe the Blizzak WS90 will also be replaced, by the WS100.

It would make sense that the WS100 would come out this year since I just bought my wife new WS90's last fall.

It looks like it is being introduced in May '24 to the European market. You are looking at Bridgestone EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa). Bridgestone, Continental, Nokian and others, typically release new tires to the European market first. We may get the new tire here in the NA (North American) market a year or two later, and most likely with a similar, but different name.

Bridgestone does not go into a lot of detail about what "Enliten Technology" is :

The use of ENLITEN Technology also ensures that 25 per cent of the tyre is made using recycled and reusable materials....

Looks like the Blizzak 6 will be available in the USA and Canada starting May 2025.

There too. Maybe forward performance is not as good, but that could be subjective.
Braking and handling will be also far ahead. It is just better compound. I had WS60 and LM60, and it cannot be compared to, IMO, in any performance aspect.

That will be me, maybe next year. I'll get what's available and probably on good sale as they make room for the new ones. Then I'll say "I should have waited another week" for the next 6 years.

This Thursday, I drove from Winter Park to Highlands Ranch in heavy snow the entire way. Berthoud Pass, US 40, I-70, E470. Heavy traffic. Heavy snow.

The WS-90s on the car are simply brilliant.

Watched a couple of bozos in pickups spin out, and an AWD SUV with Nebraska plates hit the snow bank, but the WS-90s never missed a beat.

I don't envy you driving I70 in the snow. Luckily, we can take HWY24 to get to skiing.
This year seems particularly bad when it comes to snow traffic.

As for WS90, they are excellent tires. Really superb performance.
