I was talking about the Blazer. Who was talking about Audi? For that matter the GTI in Germany had a 155mph limiter because of different tires. I did put the proper tires on the GTI before removing the limiter.

That's not entirely true. Some people only tow locally or short distances. The Silverado/Sierra can do ~200 miles towing, which isn't much worse than my Expedition which is good for 250. There aren't enough pull through chargers yet, but if someone is only towing a boat to a lake, a trailer for work, or to regional camp ground, they could cover 600 miles with just two charging stops (starting out fully charged). The people on the Sierra groups seem to love the truck.
What was wrong with the Hummer? Doesn't suit me at all, but curious why someone who gets one would change their mind.
Most aren't towing either, meaning the rated range of 300+ miles will work for the average driver. I could get on with one and I'd enjoy it, but the fact is that I'm not towing so I don't need a truck and even if I did my 2026 Model Y has a tow hitch and weighs half of what the Sierra does. I can't see a reason for a vehicle that size when my small crossover comfortably fits my family of 4. It fits us so well I've bought two of them.
Who is going above/beyond 112 MPH? Sure somewhere in the middle of Texas, Wyoming or Montana this might be fun to try out (empty stretch conditions permitting) but yeah doesn't seem like it needs to be a thing unless you are on unrestricted parts of the autobahn in Germany.
People aren’t doing this often, but I can tell you for the type of people who buy performance vehicles specifically because they’re performance vehicles, it would be a complete non starter. Even in the case of a vehicle not used that way the idea that it couldn’t do more than that would be disappointing. Do you know how much of a buzzkill it is to hit a speed limiter on a long straight on a track day? It sucks!
