Costco has a $79.99 deal on a Blu-Ray player right now; not a black friday deal, just a normal coupon book sale. Name brand, too. I'm pretty sure a lot of stores have deals similar to that on a daily basis. Even still, say that Blu-Ray player is normally priced at $95. Is it really worth fighting people, spending hours in line, and putting yourself through tons of stress to save $15? NO. Not for me, at least. I'll be spending friday with a good friend I haven't seen in awhile. That's worth looking forward to.

I did the black friday years ago, last time I went 8-10 years ago the cops were arresting folks stealing goods from peoples shopping carts while they were going to their cars.

Ya like thats where I wanta be.

does anyone know of, apart from Pepboys, where there is a sale on motor oil?....need some for my next change....

my plan is to drive to up to BC. They don't have t-giving up there, so we don't have to deal with crowds of stupid. I've done this several years and always enjoy it.

Are you kidding? My plan is to stay as far away from any retail outlet as humanly possible. I may go for a drive or go hiking in a state park, but I will NOT be in a store or (heaven forbid) a shopping mall THAT day.

You couldn't pay me enough to do the "Black Friday" thing.

My wife and me will be taking our therapy dogs to an assisted living center for a couple hours on Friday. I'd much rather make a few deserving people happy than wade through throngs of idiot shoppers blindly chasing marketing hype.

I work....but lucky for me I'm the clean up shift.

If I can't buy it online, I won't even waste the time....

We are driving out to Ohio on wednesday, and staying through sunday to visit the family. Probably no shopping will be done. There is a benefit to being unemployed and not working for retail during black friday.

I only ever did BF for clothes. Nothing beat grabbing a GAP P-Coat, gloves, scarf, beanie, fleece and a couple thermal long sleeves all for $30 bucks total(50% coupon).

I did Black Friday once... only once. I got up early to buy a flat screen TV, then went back to bed (it was still dark). It worked out - I saved $200. I have no such needs anymore.

I have never gone near a store on Black Friday. I was tempted however, to see the oil kings at Pep Boys for their upcoming sale on B. Friday, but there is no room available to add to the stash.

We will be in San Juan, PR. Is there a Walmart there to spend my night after paying few hundred dollars per night for the hotel? :-)

Yes, there are US box stores like Walmart.

I might go out on black friday. It sucks now because you have to go to one store to get the best for sale items. then hit the others if they still in stock. wish I had a crew to send out!

No way will I fight the crowds of BF. I have gone to the mall late in the morning like about 10 or 11 and hardly anybody is there and they will still have sales. Otherwise forget it. I hate crowds and I hate getting up early.
