hey patman, how'd you like to do me a favor?
Next time you remove one of your chrome wheels (hint: tomorrow

) weigh it on a scale. I'm looking for real world weight comparison to my oem 10-spoke 2002 clearcoated wheels and Replica chrome zr-1's, 17x9.5 with 275/40-17 tires. Do you know if your entire rim is chromed?

The entire rim is indeed fully chromed, as they are aftermarket rims.

You should've posted this last week, I just got new front tires put on last week, and I probably could've asked the guy to weigh the rim on it's own when he dismounted the old tire.

Clay Magic and plenty of lub worked very well on my very dark green (almost black in some light) BMW. BMWs have a rep for soft clear coat and Clay Magic cleaned it very well with no residue.

As for the residue, many body shops seem to have a lot of "micro" debris (sanding dust, solvent vapors??, etc) floating in the air that seems to settle on everything and washing just will not remove. Just my observation.
