I had some wax on some black trim. I got something called black jack black again. It was from R&S auto parts, a decent store. Apparently it is a silicone oil of some sort, made by north american oil company.
It did a good job of sprucing up the black trim, and removing the dried wax. Ill have to re-check it tomorrow when there is light, but in the streetlight it looked evenly applied and nice.
I was careful to not get it onto the painted surfaces, but I am curious...
Do "back to black" type substances (possibly silicone oil), which can remove unsightly wax residues remove wax that has properly cured onto painted surfaces too? Id hate to have spots around handles and rub strips that dont have wax protection...
Thanks,
JMH
