BiXenon HID Question

Hey guys, im looking at upgrading my lighting in my 2009 versa from regular halogen to hid. I want to put together the system using OEM parts such as hella or denso. My question is, my car uses one bulb for both high and low beam. When i buy my parts, do i need a H/L bulb or will I need a H/L ballast as well?
Im asking since im having trouble finding a Hi/Low beam kit, im finding a bunch of D2S oem kits, but those are all low beam only.

Are you going to mount HID bulbs in your existing "meant for Halogen bulb" enclosure? If so the results could be less than desirable.

Have you considered upgrading your bulbs to higher performance versions? http://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.html

I did this and the light pattern works fine. Not as nice as a projector but I don't care.
I got the hi/lo 6K 35watt kit from DDM Tuning. Simple hook up and I haven't had one single car flash me for have bright lights.
Basically when you hit the hi beams the reflector which in lo beam points the bulb upwards and the beam reflact off the top of the housing and points dowm. In Hi it spins around and the beam point downwards. The light reflects up and you get a nice hi beam.
Not the best set-up but works just fine.
I tested the set-up by driving past my truck in my sister's car as if I was on coming traffic. aimed the headlight down a little and everything is fine. You have to be sure that you do this. Do not want to cause anyone any harm from being dumb.

Brelandt - Sounds like you're one of the few who's managed to match up an HID setup to factory housings well enough to not screw up the beam pattern. Unfortunately, it doesn't work out that well on many vehicles with most kits.

I think you're right.....LOL
Perhaps in the future I'll get the $300 set-up but as for now this is fine. Just have to use your head when installing it before you go out there and cause blindness.
