Saw this graphic of Bill Gates, and couldn't help but think how miserable he must be at his age to have all the money in the world, but lives alone. Huge home(s), yet no one to share a dinner with.

Starting to think many American men of modest wealth might very well be significantly happier than Bill Gates.

I'm of the opinion that many brilliant people lead troubled lives (@Pablo is probably the exception). Their minds are always running on over-time. Sometimes "good enough" is the place to be.

Lol, you really think he doesn't have a fiance or girlfriend because some social media post said it?

I spend an above average amount of time in geographic locations where older men with money spend/date/marry woman--- the woman almost always much younger and fitter than the man. So, the view from my foxhole may give me an alternate perspective/ reality than others may have. I get to watch these couples every day-- observations strongly suggest their relationships are more often than not based on money and not on mutual respect or love.

Do I truly believe in my heart the majority of married BITOGers over 60 deep down inside are living a more rewarding life than Bill Gates. Yes, absolutely.

Bill Gates more likely than not blew it while he was married. Marriage is work, it is often not easy. Now Bill Gates, when he meets someone, more likely than not internally has to ask himself, “Will I be loved?”, or is it just my resources.
