That car must have made you nervous out on the interstate when you were surrounded by 18 wheelers...Is that a knee knocker a/c I see in there?

instead os actual stealth, it's supposed to make sure that you can't establish a clear line/body edge.

Used to be flat black with funny vinyl sumo suits, but IIRC, there were sometimes aero noise in the production model not seen on the sumo model.

No but I didn't expect the thing to be a nightmare either...

We don't have interstates, we have highways...

(Just funnin with yah)

Actually no I was fine on the highway with it. The car was so small and low that I could literally fit underneath a trailer if I needed to. Or if the guy changing lanes didn't see me and I inadvertently ended up underneath there.

And yes it has A/C and yes it was a knee knocker. I had to extend the front seat to touch the back seat so I could fit in the thing. I also had to wear special shoes that wouldn't get caught on the lower part of the dash when I was trying to change pedals.

Yes, they will come back next year, only for few rallies (probably the ones in Europe). In 2012, they will do the full season.
Prodrive is the company preparing the car.
I don't think it is based on the Countryman, probably just the Mini.

They changed the regulation for next year, that is why Sebastien Loeb will be driving the Citroen DS3 instead of the C4.

That is nice that another manufacturer comes to WRC.

If a product has no mass appeal, then what defines greatness?

Its suitability to its particular task.
A Lotus Elise even priced at $20K wouldn't have mass appeal, but its a great example of a lightweight all out performance car.
The MINI's niche isn't as obvious, but if you make it into a Toyota Matrix competitor, what have you got? Probably nothing...
