Fumoto BF

Yeah, great valves. I have one on every vehicle I own. The oldest one I believe is over than 15 years old and no issues whatsoever.

I bought the first one to be able to do oil changes on the road without making a mess. I would put an empty jug underneath the valve, open it up, and not even a drop would spill on the ground. Leave it open, then replace the cartridge filter from up top, by the time I was done with that the oil finished draining. Close the valve and pour new oil in. Very easy and no mess at all.

Since I made a mess recently on the driveway, re-thinking how I use my Fumoto valve (short nipple) with my 1990 classic Rubbermaid oil drain pan.

1. Drain oil filter housing via Toyota drain opening
2. Install prepared prefilled oil filter housing with new filter
3. Open Fumoto valve and collect UOA sample
4. Close Fumoto valve and install cover back on to the oil pan
5. Attach Fumoto’s optional 90degree attachment to the nipple
6. Direct 3/8” tubing into the oil pan spout
7. Wait 20 minutes
