as we both know...its the cleaner burning of a better fuel (along with the lead) that does this. pump swill is ..... well refiners dumping ground.

Lycoming aircraft engines have an approved procedure where walnut hulls are blasted in the combustion chamber. I have never done the treatment, but I suspect it's done through the spark plug hole, and drained from the lower spark plug hole, or open exhaust valve.

Chevrolet once used Bon Ami household cleanser in a procedure to seat the rings on small blocks by running it through the intake, doesn't mean it doesnt make me cringe a little thinking about what that did if it got any debris into the lower parts of the engines.

i've done the AJAX treatment to a big CAT diesel.
it really bogs down...if you dare touch the throttle (at max) be prepared for a complete tear down.
