best ratcheting combo wrenches

The reviews are....mixed. Several of the German ones seem to suggest quality has slipped and was not exactly what would have been expected from Hazet. Or maybe I'm compiling the data incorrectly or with bias (I don't know much about Hazet either way)
Yes, mixed reviews. But most of the reviews were of wrenches shipped prior to 2020, one going back to 2013. I did order one wrench today, a 19mm, because my older Gearwrench set only goes up to 18mm. I remember reading that Hazet does the forging of the wrench body in Germany, then sends them to Taiwan for the installation of the moving parts. Not sure if that info is reliable. Would chrome plating be done before wrench bodies are shipped to Taiwan?

If you buy ratchetting wrenches, make sure they come with a lever to flip the direction. Please do not ask me why I am recommending this :) Astute reader would be able to figure out what must have happened!
I know what you done!

Ive had my gearwrench sets since I was a kid and have no complaints. I beat the snot out of them and turn them in for warranty when they start acting weird. Your blue point ones carry a lifetime warranty as well and could just be turned in for whatever the most current blue point model is.
I was disappointed in my gearwrench set (3yrs old so maybe your older set is of better quality). The 13mm and 15mm wrenched started to skip and they did not have hard use. Looking up the warranty process - was a pain in the rear so I just never even tried. Got an ICON set and they are really nice and I can warranty them locally if I ever needed to.

A lot of guys say when GW went to China, the quality took a dive. NOS, made in Tiawan is a + for GW!

Tekton will be introducing a new lineup of ratcheting wrenches this November. They will be satin finish with a 12pt box end, instead of the current 6pt box end. I have a set of the medium length 6pt double box end flex head ratcheting wrenches, and my favorite feature is the very low backdrag. But the 6 point design can sometimes be an annoyance. Tekton had some supplier issues around 2021-2022 getting ratcheting wrenches in stock. Perhaps they have switched to a different supplier for the new lineup?

I’ve got a set of GearWrench 10-19. They work fine but I realized soon that if you use 14mm-19mm for breaking a nut free you were certain to shorten the life of the ratcheting mechanism. So they mostly sit. I think this is the way with ratcheting wrenches.

masterforce from menards has 12 point ratcheting wrenchs with lifetime warrenty,,they are cr/v steel,,worth checking out

I had a Gearwrench fail. I called, sent a photo of the wrench and they sent a replacement. Took about a week but I don't work in a shop anymore so I just waited.
