Best Plastic Trim Coating

Looking to get a semi-permanent ceramic/graphene coating for plastic trim. Not looking for the temporary stuff that washes off easily.

Anyone have any good luck with products or recommendations?

I have used GTechniq C4 trim coating. I've had it on my trim for 5 years and I've now just noticed the cowl could use a touchup.

For black plastic, "That Black Stuff" is a black dye that is quite impressive. But the one that I use here in Florida is called "Forever Black bumper and trim Dye Kit (or Cleaner and Reconditioner) (both the same)". It is also a strong black dye, and comes with a foam paint brush for careful smooth application. When used with care, does a great job and lasts for years.

I've seen it at WalMart in the past, but not lately.

NOTE: I've never had the product flake off. But I have not used the 'new and improved' version. There are a small number of people who have had the product peel and flake, about 3% of the reviews.

There is no such thing as a permeant plastic coating. If there was, the OEM's would use it.

I've been using Perl. Works well.

Have you tried heat gun or torch method? If you are dealing with faded trim.

+1 for this Gtechniq stuff.

+2 the stuff is expensive, and a little goes a long way, but wow does it work. Going on 5 years on a Mini-Cooper and a Jeep wrangler and they both still look great.
