so in about 2yrs we plan on moving. but we haven't really been to any other states. my question is whats a good state to live in ? not to hot i prefer the country im not into the city at all and i would prefer to live in a state where the cost of living isn't to high and not to be political but i cannot live in a left wing state Missouri is as close as im willing to go lol. ive never seen other places so i really don't know much but i do want to move from mo. o and please no lectures its just a question to people that have been there and seen places. lol

No I hate mo. I want somewhere nice not to hot. Somewhere country. Mo isn't anything Missouri is like the kid in school which copies everyone else because it doesn't have it own identity

If you get outside the major metro areas, even California has lots of conservatives. In fact all my relatives out there are very conservative.
Personally, politics is one of the last things I would think about when deciding on a place to live. I'm from Oregon originally but living in a right-wing state doesn't faze me at all.

i wouldnt want to live somewhere dominated by the left though it isnt who i am . its not my first priority. but a right to work state would be more satisfying to me. montana and wyoming i have both thought about i just dont know anything about it
Montana is beautiful, I would like to go back for another visit. It does get cold up there though, I've only been in the summer.
Indiana. You can find whatever you want here. Our cost of living is among the lowest in the country. Easy to find rural lifestyle yet commute to city if necessary. Indy is perennially the most affordable housing market in the country. Lefties need not apply. Also good on gun laws. Where else can you get a lifetime carry license? Not too far from MO in case you want to visit. Similar climate.

I was going to suggest Indiana also. Nice mix of everything. Nice people. Not too hot.
Other than the job situation unless you are an engineer or some other high demand skill, I would say northern Michigan.I live near detroit but would move if my wife would.
You have 4 seasons with none of them extreme. Dont know if you are into the outdoors but we have public forest land everywhere, small lakes everywhere and the great ones of course,, and a very laid back lifestyle up there.
Dont know if you are into guns but we have open carry and shall issue ccw,very long hunting seasons and the fishing is good.
