Very little of anything from memory........
Same as the fresh Amsoil Signature I got in today. It's all abbreviated on a quart as how are they going to list a 100 approvals? Not even on a 5 quarter....

I put in a email to Kendall just now
They will email me later today with the info and why they do not list this info
on their website and Data sheets. I will post whatever they say on here. Good or bad.
I got in several bottles of differing brands of oil today and most have no mention of any approvals whatsoever except API certs.

100 approvals? I doubt that, especially for Amsoil Signature oils. How many approvals does the Signature have?

I think that if a manufacturer wishes to state they meet a specific approval they will find a way to fit it onto the bottle. But maybe that's just me.

I took your advice and emailed them too.

What about on the bottles of Kendall oil you use?

I answered edyvw on that.
Amsoil lists only ACEA, GM, Chrysler, and Ford.
Total of 7 certs-approvals besides the basic API- ILSAC

I'd say stick with the Mobil 1 0w-40. Circa $25 for 5L at Walmart, and meets all specs. Can't go wrong.

A nice lady from ConocoPhillips just called and said that Kendall GT-1 Full Synthetic Euro Motor Oil 5W-40 would meet Porsche A40 if tested, but does not carry the approval as they do not wish to pay the fee.

And there are two ways to take that info....

1) If you (CP) don't care to test for approval, i don't care to purchase your product.

2) I agree with CP and am going to use it based on the word of mouth.

So 7 actual approvals or "suitable for"?

Yes Justine called me as well but I was out and she left me the message.
Same as you said of course and she also said that they the company will talk to Amazon
about the correct advertising procedure for their products. But she did state as we stated that Porsche has approved it on their website- I had seen that from 2012 and update in April 2015 I believe but as she stated they did not pay the licensing fees and thus they can not list it as such.

The actual wording in blue says..........
Recommended for applications requiring the following....
Then that list appears.......

A 3'rd as well.
Why get sucked into payola when you can put that money into your own product development and let the public and independents decide if you make a great oil or not......
All you need are a few great used oil analysis and millions will come your way.

Where did you find an approved oil list on Porsche's site? I could not find it, all I found were other sites that linked the list.

It really doesn't matter anyway, the approved lists aren't always accurate as they may be out of date.

I agree that approvals (at least some of them) cost a lot of money, but you're claiming that a few good used oil analysis will substitute?

OK, so there are neither 7 certs nor approvals, only recommendations then?
