Best oil for Michigan V6 Higher Miles-Highway driven cars...GC??

Our 97 Dodge Caravan now has 140K and runs like a charm.

Have been using Mobil 1 5-30, and wondering about the new extended performance M1?? How does it compare, and is it worth the extra $$

Also, I see Rotella T "synthetic" is very reasonable, and reading lots of great data on Havoline lately.

What's your thoughts on this or any higher mile V6 oils that are almost exclusively highway driven here in michigan?

Which Oil, and what intervals. I'm using Wix Gold filters, and M1 now.

Plus....am curious about the best applications for GC?!?

I'd keep on going with the M1 5w30 as it's worked out well for you. A 7500-mi OCI should be about right.

If your engine is using oil then consider something heavier, such as M1 0w40, for summertime use.

M1 5w30 all the way. I have run it in my Mini Vans for better than 10 years, 10,000 mile OCIs with a Pure One filter. Current Van has 163,000 miles, consumes 1 quart in 10,000 miles and runs as good as it ever did.
