I definitely got my moneys worth out of my old group 65. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/any-way-to-fix-leaky-battery-post.397840/
I don't need a battery right now, I was able to make a group 78 AGM battery fit.
What is the best group 65 AGM battery for the money?
The group 65 AGM batteries at Walmart are $200 but they're all 6 months old.
Orillies has them fresh still warm from the factory for $270ish.
I could just wait for Walmart to get a fresh group 65 AGM battery in.
Or just keep running the group 78/34 optimia.

Group H7 is similar in size but still might not be for what you have, anyway, look for an alternative size. I've started doing this in the past year vs trying to replace like for like.

Running AGM H7 in most of my stuff now, if it's too big one of those small flooded 25/75? dual terminal cubes.

How do you get the wally dude to pull the fresh battery from the stack now that they are all under lock and key? I have to go to Costco to get self service.

I'd wait for Walmart or try different locations, presuming they're not too far from you. I've got (5) within a 20-mile drive and (3) of them are within 10 miles.

I presume a size 65 isn't too common ? It appears that the 65 is the 'better' or stronger battery so I understand why that would be preferred.

That's not a bad idea. I hate going to the other Walmart because it's always packed, but with no EBT card money at the moment should be manageable.

Group 65 is a key Ford trucks and SUVs battery size.

I could do a group 27.
My beater dodge is supposed to take a 27, I made a group 31 fit because it was free and I made sure I could drop in, go back to a group 27 if needed.

Sams east Penn made.

Well my group 34/78 wasn't firmly held in place. I was driving to work saw some deer, slowed down, a fawn darted out in front of me I nailed the brakes. It was too late and my inertia was too great. Splattered bambi at approximately 55mph. The Ford soaked up the deer blood and guts like a hungry viking.
I was putting a junkyard bumper and a new black grille on today and noticed the battery had moved, installed scrap 2x4 forward of the battery. Problem solved.
USAA paid out $1,170, same day within 10 hours of me first calling them. Fixed with junkyard and eBay parts for less than $200.
Going to add new headlights, because the old ones are faded and yellow, they didn't get smashed and an Aries brush guard with flood lights.
