Looking for one that will get you there using shortest route, gravel roads and all. I have a gps good for this, but need an app for my Android.

Waze is good (but the new version you have to go in and change a setting to give you those back-street routes).

If you reconfigure Google Maps for bicycle mode it could give you, uh, challenging routes. Be careful of pedestrian mode though, because that can put you the wrong way on one-way roads. After all, you're a pedestrian.

Google Maps stock likes to do this to me, I don't even have to go looking for them. When I was driving up through CO and WY, it took me on a muddy clay road to cross over into WY.

Waze is great.

Google Maps is good.

Try Waze.

Check off avoid toll roads under Settings (the cog wheel icon,) then Navigation.

Just dont try it out west here afterOctober 31st, maybe sooner if a storms rolled thyough, unless you like long term winter camping.

So I tried Waze... didabled highways, enabled gravel roads, and selected "shortest distance" and it still didn't take me all the back roads that I kind of know in my head that are shorter and more direct. If I use MapQuest on my computer it will find all of these obscure roads, but even their own app doesn't pick them up.
