Best ATF Stop Leak?

I have a leak in my trans cooler. I see spot by rear main (??) and rad (trans fluid.) Small spot forms.

Got no money, time, tools, I drive every day.

IF there is as best Stop Leak.. ?

If this is on your blazer I'd just start topping off with Maxlife ATF.
There are no miracles in a bottle.

It is rated for your vehicle and won't harm it, unlike some snake oils, and it should do some cleaning and help the seals.

Keep a spare quart in your vehicle at all times, make sure it is new, as an open one might leak and that stuff STINKS BAD.

Use this time to Start saving your pennies!

This isn't the first post I've seen stating that MaxLife ATF stinks. Honestly, I've been using MaxLife ATF for years and I think it smells like any other ATF. Nothing unusually stinky about it...

I hesitate to say this but I used a bottle of the Lucas trans seal leak or whatever they call it about 3 years ago on an Olds Cutlass with a tired Turbo 350 in it and it leaked a small amount out the front pump seal and also the seal where the shifter linkage goes into the trans and it stopped the leaks.

I know Lucas stuff isn't very well liked and I am NOT a fan of their engine oil treatment but this transmission stuff worked as advertised for me. I used it as a "what the heck" I'll try it on a trans/car I am not worried about anyway.

I don't know if I even knew about the Maxlife stuff yet and would probably lean toward trying that method first now.

It may not stink but it certainly has a strong smell... a smell I am currently trying to get out of the trunk of my car where I left a few empty bottles of MaxLife Dex/Merc and a bag of ATF-covered rags.

This. Only downside is that it's somewhat hard to find.

ATF like Maxlife will only work to slow seal leaks. A threaded fitting like the radiator won't be helped by Maxlife...but Teflon tape might help...

Yeah this!!!

If it's a metal line rusted out at a corner sometimes brake line fits, this could be a $10 repair.

I have seen miracle in a bottle

ATP 205 Reseal,

I have seen it do wonders.

I have seen mechanics who never heard of this stuff say , OHH you need a big repair thats going to cost XXX.XX $

Then the person would pour in ATP205 and drive a few miles and come back and they would put cardboard under the car and the leak stopped


I have personally seen it work in Transmissions and Engines and Power sterring

ATP 205 is not snake oil.. Its CLear sorta like water.

Google it and see how many people swear by it.
