if you don't go to the toyota stealership, they want receipts of the oil and filters purchased every 6 months, and matching their recomm oil.

for trans they probably demand the flush at 30K

This is the problem. A synthetic offers no additional protection against contamination due to short, cool trips. If you don't make enough long trips where the oil gets fully warmed, the oil is likely contaminated.
