Beck Arnley 041-0812 using VIC C-809 (Made in Japan)

Asian makes have always valued flow over efficiency.
The difference in dP vs flow between a rock catcher and a high efficiency filter isn't enough to make any difference to the engine - meaning the oiling system will still provide more than adequate oil volume to moving parts. However, the difference in efficiency can make a difference in engine wear over the long run.

Sure, at a certain point of inefficiency. Asian makes seem to spec a "good enough" efficiency leading me to believe that chasing a higher efficiency filtration for at least their applications does not give a meaningful return for the expected service life.

What a difference in filter media and presumably filter efficiency. The Vic filter media seems to have more holes than Denso and Toyota filters. One of the comments mentions that Vic is a budget brand in Japan so it checks out. Interesting how these both "meet spec"
