Dang! Those are the closest things to dinosaurs that are still around, that I'm aware of.
That's a problem.
Birds are more closely related tom dinosaurs than dragons are. Komodo dragons are monitor lizards.
Soon as your bitten you've had it. Most toxic mouth ever. Nasty!
Willing to bet that kid'd never seen a "throne". Main reason us country boys wear undershorts is to have something to cut up (also reason we all carry a pocket knife) when the call arises out in the sticks.
Joking aside that would be a truly terrible way to go.

The word "bush" can mean many things..........
I've worked there. Even a simple bite that does not kill you can give you an infection that will last the rest of your life. As stated above the expression "trash mouth" applies. Sometimes when they catch a large animal they bite it and back of and wait for it to die from the toxins in their mouth. One of the rangers said it can take from a few hours to a day or more, and they just wait, so they don't get hurt. They can then eat the animal when it is weak and can not fight back.

Yeah, aside from it's size and limited numbers, the thing really doesn't have much to be admired for. From most of the documentaries that I've seen ..it's just pretty much one disgusting creature. Then again, I've seen some human documentaries that don't impress me with the species either ..so what do I know?
There are no actual "toxins" in a dragon's mouth, it's just nasty from rotted meat and virulent bacteria.
These guys swim pretty well, too.
