Has anyone bought the rebranded Bauer DA polisher from HF? If so, are there any improvements over the Chicago Electric?
Bauer 6 Inch DA Polisher from Harbor Freight

I went to HF to actually buy a DA polisher last month (I don't usually buy HF tools but this one was highly rated and will be little-used). They were out of stock with no idea when more would come in. Wonder if the introduction of the Bauer has anything to do with it.
They have definitely "Stepped Up"
Their new Vulcan brand of welding products is getting very, very close to other common "Name Brand" quality.
I'm still NOT ever buying anything cordless/rechargeable from harbor freight until I hear LOTS of good feedback.

I was wondering about those machines. They look decent from what I can see.

If I can find one in stock I'm going to get and keep my 3" backing plate installed.
I have not purchased the Bauer version of their DA polisher, but i have purchased the Bauer versions of some of their other power tools, and every one of the Bauer tools was much improved over the Chicago Electric or Drill Master predecessor it was replacing.
If they stop selling the CE version of their DA polisher in favor of the Bauer version, and i decide to get another DA polisher at some point, I won't hesitate at all on getting the Bauer version.
I am satisfied at this point that the random failures and iffy quality of the CE/DM branded power tools is not going to be a thing with their newer, more expensive power tool lines...at least not the Bauer line anyway.
