what is the best product out there to prevent battery terminal corrosion? some say simple p. jelly, others say that melts under heat. i have used those little packets you can purchase at the auto store. what do you guys recommend? what's the best thing out there?

We had a corrosion problem on our Grand Marquis that was cured by installing some circular felt pads that go between the battery and terminal connector. They worked great.
