Battery size

A battery should last ten years, not six... my old car had an Interstate Mega-Tron Plus made by JCI that worked well even into 10 years old, which I replaced just because of the age.

Acceptable battery life depends on which part of the United States you live in.

Here in Florida, a battery over 3 years old is a huge risk.

Same here in CenTex. There used to be some battery companies that specilized in longer-life batteries for the hot weather of the southern states, but they've all either gone out of business or been sucked up by the monsters like JCI and Exide.
