When I see stuff like that it reminds me why I got the non-hybrid.... Even if the battery didn't fail, I'd likely never get the extra up front cost back.

It's not all about money. There's the feel good aspect and better parking spaces, less walking

Speaking about "feeling good aspect"..........What about "risk"? What would your feelings be, if you went to a sporting event with 75% of the cars and mostly trucks in the future being EV and you have to enter the 1980's built "car" garage. At the end of the game, with the added 2-3 thousand more people in the ramp, would run to your EV car/truck because the 6 story "car" garage is not rated for that much weight. Or would stroll and walk slowly, talking to your friends and talking a bit by their EV truck on the 2nd floor?

The only good thing about this, IF there is anything good, is that the car can still be used without the propulsion battery.

Wrong. Most battery faults or excess degradation on Volts cause the car not to work at all.
