Came across this Patient Hoist & Lifting System on Facebook Marketplace.

Seems like a great match to lift a pickup truck bed for fuel pump removal, help installing a car door, etc.

If I was close by, I would be buying this.

I think that is barely at the weight limit for a truck bed. It might work. Gantry is probably safer. Some 4x4s, chain hoist, hook etc. Tractor with forks if you got it would be easy too.

Great reminder to exercise your core and all your muscles, not so that you can lift a truck bed, so you can get your butt out of a regular bed!!!

Those are for caregivers, who obviously might be frail themselves. If hired, there are OSHA rules about lifting patients properly. Many CNAs get muscular/ skeletal problems from improperly handling patients their own sizes or bigger.

I have misused an engine stand to remove an s10 truck bed, so it can be done even if the lift is the "helper" and doesn't take 100% of the weight.
