Rejex is what I use for a base coat.
I'm a huge fan of Blackfire Wet Diamond. It's a great sealant! It will last about 2 months for me even in harsh Chicago Winters and has a great, deep, glossy shine. Many detailers use it on very high end cars.
Make sure you use a good bug and tar remover, and clay bar your car before you wax and just about anything will look pretty good.

My winter base was duragloss. Wash>clay>Duragloss 501>Collinite 845.
