According to this news the ship has sunk.

Can almost guarantee that somebody is going to figure out what caused that ship to catch fire either Volkswagen, their insurance company, or the shipping company.
They already know. From a US Coast Guard source I know: The crew did see what happened, it was an EV fire that spread to other EV's and consumed the ship.
