The Camry reached 100K miles, and the serpentine belt just came to my mind, so I started to look around. OEM from Toyota is about $58, some dealerships sell online for a bit cheaper, but not much. Bando is known as OEM supplier for Toyota, but I am so surprised to see the Bando 6PK1255 on rockauto.com is just about $8. I understand dealers have large markups, but I can't get myself to order the Bando belt (which it claims as OEM quality). I ordered a Toyota belt, am I mistaken? Can OEM and aftermarket lines of Bando belt differ that much? Thoughts? I have had good experiences with Gates belts, have not used Bando before.

PS: This is what I found on Amazon: If this is true, one line for both OEM and Aftermarket, then I AM wasting money in ordering the Toyota belt. thoughts?

- 6 Ribs x 1255 mm or 6 Ribs x 49.5 Inch
......
- Bando has one line of belts for both OEM applications and the aftermarket. The same belt the manufacturer specifies and installs is the same belt sold in the aftermarket

Bando is an excellent belt. I use them all the time and never had an issue with longevity, noise, slipping. The Dayco Poly Rib W belt is also a great belt, also no issues and for $6 on closeout its a no brainer.
For $58 they can shove that thing where the sun doesn't shine, I wouldn't buy that with someone else's money.

Get Mitsuboshi, that is the OE for Toyota.

Yes, that is like Mitsubishi with and "o".
It is not a typo.

You can find them on Ebay, very quiet belt for Toyota.

Bando replacements are popular for the FJ and 4Runner crowd as well. The OEM is over $100 list price with the Bando about $15 on Amazon.
There's an odd issue re: what size is spec'd by Toyota vs. Bando, but only a difference of 5mm.

^ This. Another real good belt, OE for some Subaru timing belts also.

About 20k ago I replaced my Hyundai belt with a Bando.
I kind of hesitated because the Amazon low price and didn't know anything about Bando belts except I knew of the name.
So went ahead and purchased one. Just a couple days after purchased the Amazon price was up a few dollars.
So far the belt runs quiet and still looks great.
The OEM belt I removed (about 130k) I placed in the cargo area for on the road spare as it still looks good and serviceable.
Just seems the Bando is a good value buy. I can't say anything bad about it.... yet

got my belt in the mail today, so let me put a closure on this thread. The belt (I ordered from a dealership website) looked the same as on the car, and has TOYOTA and part number printed on the belt. It also has Bando and part number printed on it in smaller font. Interestingly, the Bando part numbe is 6PK1256, while the aftermarket Bando number is 6PK1255. So the belt length between the two only differs by 1mm. so my loss is your gain, go use Bando belt for your Camry.

There was a big difference in price between an OEM Honda belt and a Bando. I went for the Bando. Made in the USA and the quality looked every bit as good as OEM. So far with 30K miles no issues at all. I would buy another Bando belt when the time comes without concern.
