I recently found that Baldwin make a B1431 which is 1/2" longer than a 9E000. The Baldwin equivalent to 9E000 is B1402, but I wanted a bigger filter for my QR25DE.
I am assuming that Baldwins filter will be as good if not better than a Nissan OE. Am I right, or should I go back to Nissan?

I have the same engine as you and just installed the Nissan filter along with S2K 0-30. I have to take it to the dealer to fix the door and don't want any questions.I doubt if it is a issue either way.I used a PURE ONE with the last oil the UOA should be coming in any day.

I use B1431 on my 03 Honda civic ex and B2 on wife's Chry T&C. Baldwin spec for my civic is the 1402 but wanted the larger filter. OEM is such a small little thing. Seems to be doing quite well so far. UOA to come in another 3k miles.

Ignore the guesses here, and chop one of each open.

luvs, try doing a search on "9E000" and/or "Nissan" in this subsection. I know we had a long thread about these Nissan filters months ago.

I just used up the last of my Hastings LF240 filters on my Sentra with a QR25DE. Probably the same as your Baldwin filter. Decent unit, probably better than OEM, but not as good (as big) as NAPA/Wix 1356.

And nowhere NEAR as big as the 1344 which is significantly oversized.
