BAD movies.

One of the first bad movies I can remember seeing is either/and Bruno as well as Surrogates (2009.)

Wow, this was 13 years ago now.

How about what we call just flat out bad from several points of view like .... corny acting , corny story, baaad acting, bad casting, dumb almost un realistic story lines? Then - do you still watch some of them for reasons you cant put your finger on like I have?
There is a movie in MHO that falls into the category. ROAD HOUSE! Patrick Swayzee +Sam Elliott. Never forget wife picked it and thought it was going to be good. LOL. She freaking hated it and wanted to walk out. For some reason when ever they air it latley I find myself watching that foolish film. Some that fall into that category could be many of those cheesy / flake films Elvis the King Pressly was strong armed into doing by his Dictator style manager Col Parker. Thing is Elvis was a great actor. He proved it in some serious films early on where he was allowed to act and not be chased around or have women pass out and fall at his feet like some of the dumber , later films he was forced to do. Good ones I thought : King Creole / Flaming Star / Wild in the Country / Love Me Tender / Charro / Change of Habit..... He did make some funny ones I enjoyed growing up.

Rented Lips with Robert Downey, Jr., **** Shawn, Shellry Berman, Jennifer Tilly, Martin Mull, Eileen Brennan, June Lockhart, Kenneth Mars, and more. Directed by Rpbert Downey

A documentary filmmaker, who has spent the last 15 years making films like “Aluminum: Our Shiny Friend,” is finally given the chance to make the documentary on Indian farming he has always wanted to. The catch? He must simultaneously direct a porn film. But as he tries to make the porn film, which he turns into a musical called “Halloween in the Barracks,” he must deal with a temperamental actor, a fundamentalist preacher, and other obstacles.

Sounds like such a wildly blended story line it almost has to be just full of laughs. (I hope) will check it out soon. thanks..... many serious actors I see and I know they can be really funny if they will take the opportunities to try their hands at it. George Clooney gave me such joy some years back with that crazy insane 1920s era "Oh Brother" that a lot of folks HATE. I guess u must be a lover of history and those older time periods to be able to invest time in some movies. Just about any period movie I am glued to unless its really bad. I just enjoy seeing how authentic they can be at placing props and such all in the scenes to kind of transport you to the time frame.

I can't believe I just read through this whole thread and nobody mention the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" remake with Johnny Depp.

I still have nightmares...

Ha ha ha....... I liked and had such fun watching the original with kids and grandkids I assumed that one was a turn off?
How about Beetlejuice! I get a kick out of it and the wife can not stay in the room with it.
We been trying to get thru Ed Scissor Hands for a week now and keep getting distrubed and stopping.

It's available free on YouTube ... do take a look and let me know what you think:

The list is long....

I categorise a bad maovie as one where I feel cheated out of my money after going to the theatre. Most movies make me feel that way but not all. Frankly, the bigger the hype, the higher the chance I feel cheated.
Wife usually says "remember , if so called experts rave and love it, we usually rate the same a BOMB!" She is usually correct.

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters,

Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle

Godzilla: The Planet Eater

3 part godzilla movies that has pretty much no urban destruction
As kids we would almost pee our pants laughing at movies similar to the Godzilla ones with all the really cheap and funny special effects you could spot. :ROFLMAO:

going try and stream it now. Another painful funny one is Steve Martin - My Blue Heaven. LOL I forget that is him at times.
His quote to some woman police prosecutor: "The shoes honey! Ugh, the shoes are tragic!"

Take your pic 95% bad if the word double is in there

Bruse Willis I was never a huge fan of his but it was a "safe" thing to watch when we had family visiting over the summer, meaning at least there would be action and not fall asleep.

Name of the movie = Wrong Place
It was absolutely the worst movie that any of us ever saw and my brother and sister in law love action movies. It was actually sad, Bruce Willis looked like he was being used, a "prop" on a stage who can no longer act, it was REALLY sad, he could not act at all because of his medical affliction I guess.
Just terrible and he only made random appearances in the movie and when he did you would think you were watching, I cant even put it into words. Even calling this a B movie is too good, it was that sad and bad.

Those three were from the 2010s and they were animated. Plus they were filled with so much filler, you would have thought that Bondo was a sponsor in the movies.

Never forget how us young teens would all collect at ones home on Sunday morning for the Sunday morning Thriller/Horror movie of the week.
If they did not scare us to death.... not many did, we spent the entire movie trying to spot bloopers and screw ups. No replaying or tape back then.
We always had a kick doing that stuff.
