I will never look at bacon quite the same way ever again. Can't believe I reviewed that entire site.

I need help. Thanks Pablo for making my day.

I made a very bad thing the other day - clam chowder with bacon fat roux.

Sprintman would have loved it! It did have a real onion and celery sauted, but it had bacon fat for the roux, heavy cream, canned potatoes, and canned clams with crisp bacon pieces thrown on top.

Really tasty, but really unhealthy!

Bacon is like a little hug from God.

My great great aunt lived to be 103. When she was 100 in the nursing home, she asked for black coffee and bacon for breakfast. They told her that wasn't good for her.

She said she was 100 years old and should be able to have what she wanted for breakfast.

She got her black coffee and bacon.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate here, so I'll leave the search up to you. Look on You Tube for "Gustufson on Health" for Gustufson's view on Cigarettes, Bacon and Beer.

So for lunch today, I threw 4 rashers in the cast iron pan, when they were getting done I put a leftover spiced chicken breast on top of the bacon for awhile, flopped it over in the hot grease, turned the flame down, put some crumbled Gorgonzola on the chicken, then put the hot bacon on top.......

Only thing that I like microwaved is thin slices of salami/pepperoni. Fat drains out, and it ends up all crisp...

nitrosamines up the kazooo I reckon.
