I wish I had remembered to get pics under the cover of my CR-V it was nearly spotless. In the Integra I've used various conventional and synthetics ranging from 5w30 to 0w40. Castrol 0w40 is the most recent. Runs fantastic and no noticeable loss in mpg from the heavier oil.

Usually around 5k oci. Sometimes earlier sometimes later so I don't end up changing oil in the cold

Yep! They were also replaced at the same time. The old ones seemed fine but if you're that close anyway why not.

My cousin had an Integra with that engine and the thing just wouldn't die. It was burning a lot of oil by the end but kept on going. I think she finally retired it due to rust at something like 500,000 (300K miles).

Nope Dino oil. Just like my dad's PentaStar that is over 300K KM at the moment.

HEARSAY!

Everyone who "knows"... knows that such a thick oil will cause the engine to be all kinds of sluggish...
I'll bet you lost 3 full seconds off of your 0-60 time!!

If you look at the oil recommendation chart for markets other than the US you can use just about anything. I believe 10w40 is recommended for warmer climates outside the US as well. The oil selector on the Mobil website selects heavier oil for use in Europe.
