The "Lawn and Small Engine" forum seems to be all about oil so I am posting this here. If a mod. wants to move it, no problem.
My lawn tractor has a Briggs & Stratton single cylinder OHV 15hp engine. The air filter gets really dirty, with dirt caked on the foam that covers the paper element after a few hours running. Anyone come across a better system? I am thinking something like removing/cutting the hood or side panel and fitting a large filter box. The existing air intake is in about the dirtiest location it could be. A used oil analysis on this engine would be scary I think.
