What kinds were they, the gold ceramics? Or the cheapy semi-metalics. Also have you had to change your rotors because of them?

Sorry for the delay in my reply!!
In 139,000 miles, I have replaced my rotors once. These pads are NOT hard on rotors.
I use the pads that have the lifetime warranty. They are semi-metallic. They are 1 step above the 1 year warranty ones. I replace them every year, worn or not and love it!! I like doing this too because it gives me a chance to clean off the slides and re-grease everything down there.
Also I tow my boat a few times a year (6000lbs). The trailers brakes dont work, and those semi-metallics from AZ do a great job.
