Wow, looks like there are a lot of ARX questions in here. I hate to add to the long list, but here goes.

My g/f has a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclpise GS with the 2.4 SOHC 4 cylinder. It has 140k miles on it. It seems like it was kind of neglected in the oil changing department. Looking under the oil cap reveals bad varnish/brown color. No gunk or grunge. Just that gold color. Same thing for the dipstick where it reads. It also has some blow by.

So, I've read on here a lot. Everyone says there are no risks in using AutoRX except maybe some people get leaks. This car leaks none at all, but consumes around a quart every 3000 miles. You never see it smoke or anything, so it's consuming it slowly.

But, is there ANY risk for this scenario in running AutoRX through this vehicle? I plan on doing 2x cycles in a row on it.

Right. I realize that it will uncover a potential leak, if there is one.

But, my main concern is that it already has blow by. I just got done reading here that someone's blow by got worse using this.

That's why I am worried. But, I'm gonna go for it anyways.

The vehicle I'm worried about doing it in is my '86 F-150. Kind of old to be cleaned, that's an engine I'm afraid might show a leak if I AutoRX it. I dunno.

ARX is an extremely effective product that is completely safe to use.

It literally can't hurt.

Just be sure to follow Frank's instructions here http://www.auto-rx.com/ , and use the FAQ.

You will be very glad you did.

There won't be any issues associated with it.

As for the increase it blow-by, it can happen while the piston rings are being cleaned. If they are only partially cleaned, then it is only partially sealing. This can increase blow-by, fuel consumption, and oil consumption, due to inefficient combustion and poor ring seal. However, once the rings become cleaned, efficieny goes back to normal and the rings form a better seal.
