Auto Rx without sludge problems/still ok?

Before I start the ARx treatment with my next oil change, I still have a few questions.
My car has 87,000 miles(Ford 4.6L sohc), and when I look through the oil fill hole, it looks pretty clean. But I don't know how other parts of the engine are.
(1) So, IF I really do NOT have any sludge, would doing an Auto-Rx treatment be bad to the engine in any way?

The reason I decided to do it even without sludge-related problems:
I made a direct switch from conventional to synthetic.oil(Pennz.fullsynthetic 10/30) at 85,000 miles, and the car began a consumption of 1/2 Qt per 2600 miles. (I can't find any visible leaks)I went back to Pennz.HM 10/30(in current use)and it got a little better, but still consumes oil.
(2)I hope to get rid of this consumption with Arx, even if don't have (or at least I think I don't)any sludge-related problems...) does that sound like a logical plan?

To start, it's a good safe bet to run Rx regardless of any sludge. I thought my engine was clean too but after 2-3 treatments of Rx, it made a huge difference. My car ran much better and oil consumption has improved. If I were you I would switch to a full synthetic such as Amsoil/Mobil 1. Consumption should drop with these oils. I'd stick with regular Pennzoil if you want to continue to use the Pennzoil brand.

Do it. My Outback with 39,000 miles (63,000kms) was a hiway car from day one. Started my 3rd clean yesterday after seeing what came out after the 2nd clean. As I have said before engines get dirtier far quicker than anybody might have expected. I will run this 3-5000kms depending on how the oil looks which isn't scientific I know.
