This is on my mother's sludged 1999 BMW 328i. It is almost at the end of its rinse cycle. I got to check the sludge that was baked onto the plastic part of the dipstick near the bottom end. When I whiped it with a paper towel, a lot of it came off while prior to Auto-RX whiping it did not remove any of it. That gets kudos from me because that hard sludge was so stubborn before.

The oil is quite dark considering it had only 1900 miles on the rinse phase when I checked the dipstick sludge. That tells me it is rinsing a lot of sludge off of the engine and into the oil.

Since she lives out of state, I have not been able to do any better checks of how much cleaner the rest of the engine is. When I changed the oil about a year ago prior to Auto-RX treatment, there was even hard sludge in the permanent oil filter housing. I hope to someday change the oil again and see if that sludge is gone. I expect to find that it is.

I wish I had more to report but this is all I have at this point. I am pleased with how Auto-RX performed.

It is what it is, no need to report anything better than that IMO. I believe like you believe that the characteristics of Autorx's effects on dipstick color does prove that it is cleaning.

There is certainty that the BMW is going to need more than one application. But thats okay, ARX is designed to work over time, the smart way on a sludged up motor.
