Auto-RX w/RP

I started the cleaning phase of Auto-RX with Royal Purple 5w-30 in my '02 Camaro Z28. Is this okay? I plan on using dino for the rinse phase. Thanks in advance.

How many miles are on your Camaro? I would not think it would need ARX so soon in it's life.

No problem at all using the Auto-Rx with RP for the clean. I did one of my trucks with Amsoil 15W40 and it worked great. Your idea of dino for the rinse is excellent. Glad to see you doing a clean before you get a real bad build-up. I have done 3 new vehicles and they are clean internally now as the day I got them.

It's got 23k mi. It probably doesn't "need" it now, but like Vetteman said, I wanted to catch it early. I really did it to satisfy my "need" to fix things that aren't broken.

There will be a lot more gunk in that engine than you'd believe at 23k miles. If mine I'd extend the cleaning phase to 2,000 miles then run dino rinse.
