Auto-Rx question

After a less than stellar UOA I'm going to change from Castrol GTX to something else in my 2000 F150 w/31,000 miles (anybody have a good dino suggestion for a Triton engine that can be found at the typical quickie-change place while we're at it) and want to clean it with Auto-Rx prior to the change. Auto-Rx recommends 12 oz for a 5 qt system. Will I get satisfactory results with 12 oz in a 6.5 qt system?

The actual recommendation is 2 oz per quart, plus 2 oz for the filter, so in your case it'd be 15 oz (slightly more than 1 bottle). Maybe Frank will chime in and tell you if 12 oz will be sufficient.

Use 12 ounces of Auto-Rx and increase mileage to
1000 miles ( instead of 750 miles ) that should do well in your F 150. New data from third party oil chemistry corporation substaniates this.Dyson-myself can't tell you who? however they are well respected in industry. In fact new data will allow final tune up of application ratio's for both dino and blends and finally full synthetic
oil.

I'm doing the same thing soon. I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L currently using Amsoil 10W30, Amsoil SDF15 oil filter and a Baldwin air filter. After my used oil analysis coming up in the next several months I am doing the 12oz. ARX treatment for 1000 miles(6qrt oil sump plus filter) with a new oil filter and conventional oil. Any reccomendations of conventional oil that is not known for sludge buildup would be great?

Castrol GTX-Exxon-Shell-Mobil any non synthetic will do, Chevron is very popular.None of these oil's will create sludge or increase it, if you already have it in your engine.
