In those four years you apparently have had good experiences... can you give some examples? Most people here who use ARX, use it as a major cleanup tool, but you've been following the 2-ounce maintenance plan... tell us about your experience doing so, please.

I have used Auto-Rx for the past four years first as a cleaner, two (2oz) at every oil change as a preventive maintenance program. I advise my family and friends to order three bottles at a time, two bottles for cleaning and one bottle is for maintenance.

Remember Auto-Rx is a cleaner not a flush.

After an initial cleaning with ARX, I used a maintenance dose in the wifes Northstar motor.
I used 4 fluid ounces with a frsh fill of dino. It repeatedly used about 10% less oil, in a 3000 mile run when compared to no maintenance amount added. I ran 4 ounces because of the 8 quart sump.
I monitored this for 16 oil changes, alternating between, no maintenance shot of ARX, and alternately a four ounce dose. I don't have a scientific explanation, other than the results were consistant over the 16 oil changes.

In reply to the maintenance usage of Auto-Rx.I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3 engine with 180,000 miles. The oil has always been changed every 3,000 miles. Auto-Rx has been used for 160,00 of these miles when looking at the valves the engine looks almost new. No oil has ever been added between oil changes and there is no smoke from the exhaust pipe. I have some medical issues at present as soon as possible I plain on taking the valve cover off and taking photos I will post them on the message board. The maintenance program is designed so that you will not have to clean your engine again.

That's great. Was it the 3,000 mile oil changes (excellent idea by the way) or the additive? I'd bet on the oil changes. Bet you'll say the additive. And why wouldn't you? Be pretty embarrasing to spend the $$$ for no effect.

Human nature to see what you want to see. Smart people make lots of money using that little bit of applied psychology.

But if it makes folks happy, I'm all for it.

In reply to Rick20, yes two cleaning stages was done first before I started the maintenance program. I purchased the caravan with 20,000 miles on it. The first 140,000 miles were highway miles. I traveled around 4,000 per week I have kept good maintenance records and my MPG has been 20.9 this is city driving.
