Has anyone ever added Auto-rx to their power steering fluid?? If so, how many ounces??

Thanks, BR

Add One Ounce to Power Steering Fluid, if leaking
put 2ounces in for 750 miles and change out to new power steering fluid. Add maintenance amount
of one ounce and drive on.

Hmm...my mother had the PS pump replaced last week on her 94 Grand Marquis. $

Look for lines going to a cooler under the car (trace them from the power steering system). Hopefully, one of them just has a clamp holding it on and you can pull it to drain, while refilling from the top. Don't let the resevoir empty, or you'll introduce air into the system. Keep doing this til it comes out clean from the bottom. Periodically reattach the hose, start the car, and turn the wheel back and forth to help circulate the fluid (you'll need to do this if the fluid stops draining but the resevoir level no longer drops).

An easy way to change the PS fluid is to suck it out of the reservoir with a sucker gun, turkey baster...whatever works. Refill with new stuff, drive a while, do it again. After three or four of these exchanges you have almost 100% new fluid--probably good enough unless there was contamination. You'll probably get the three or four exchanges from a quart of ATF or PS fluid.
