I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with auto-rx in their transmission I know many have used it in their engines. My 88 Bronco II with 46k has developed a little bit of a bang shift from first to second and doesn't seem to feel as smooth as it used to. Do you think arx would help this? Has anyone had arx in the trans and the engine at the same time? I'm 150 miles into the clean phase on my engine. Or should I forget the arx and just change the fluid?

My neice's older Honda Accord started acting up. It wouldn't shift until the engine revved to high rpm's. I sent her a half a bottle of Auto-Rx. Within 1000 miles, the transmission started to shift normally again. I think some don't get the full improvement until they do the full flush at the end of the cleaning phase.

But I don't believe you will get as much fluid out by just draining the pan(as stated in that other thread). Sure EVENTUALLY you will, but each time you get less and less. Obviously the type of transmission has an affect too. But why question it?? Just get a fluid exchange(or do it yourself), and be done.
I think you guys convinced me to use the arx in my transmission and I will probabley be ordering a bottle this week sometime. The only fear I have is the arx possibley removing to many deposits and making the transmission very unhappy. Has anyone ever had a negative experiance with arx in there transmission? I'm just a little concerned because the A4LD auto in my bronco II is a notoriously weak transmission.
If it's really dirty, I recomend doing a normal pan drop first. IMO an automatic transmission is an excellent application for ARX. Often the fluid is not changed and can build up contaminents. I had excellent luck with ARX in my 200,000 mile Lesabre.
Auto-Rx can do no harm to your transmission or engine it is a ecological safe metal cleaner not a solvent or petrolueum based flush
Sorry i have one more question, I've ordered my auto-rx today and I will keep you updated on the results. but i still have a question. After I drive the 1,000 miles for the treatment. Is is safe to do a flush or should I just do a few drain and refills. I'm just wondering because some people i've talked to say flushes are perfectly safe but others say the flushes are unessary and will kill a transmission in a week. What should I do? Has anyone with a high mileage vehicle or an older one like mine had sucess with a flush after arx?
We like to call it a Complete Fluid exchange. It is the only way to get the full benefits of using AutoRX in your transmission. Some people like to start rumors without the total story.
If your transmission is in horrible shape already it could fail regardless of what you do to it.
I wonder if ARX could help out my Aspire's transmission. Sometimes when I shift into drive, it can take 5 or more seconds before the transmission will actually shift into drive. Other times, it will shift into drive normally. The engine could probably use some ARX too, it puffs some blue smoke on cold startup once in a while.
