Auto-RX in automatic transmission - clarification

The Auto-Rx site says "IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have used additives prior to Auto-Rx®, you will have to add 3 oz. of Auto-Rx® to your new transmission fluid, repeat the T-Tec procedure a second time and drive 1,000 to 1,500 miles to achieve complete cleaning."

So the complete sequence when additives are present in the transmission fluid is:

Add 6oz. Auto-Rx, drive 1,500 miles, T-Tec (or remove cooler lines and flush that way), replace filter and refill transmission with clean fluid, add 3 oz. Auto-Rx, drive 1,000 to 1,500 miles, T-Tec (or....), replace filter and refill transmission with clean fluid. Cleaning cycle complete.

Is it then recommended to run full time with a smaller dose of Auto-Rx, or stick with virgin ATF? I didn't see any mention of running Auto-Rx in there all the time, like you might with the engine oil.

I thought regular ATF contains additives all by itself... sorry, couldn't resist. Additives, additives.

My understanding is that after the cleaning is done you replace with plain ATF and no more aut-rx. The "maintenance dose" is for engine oil in the crankcase.

The instructions apply only if you've added other stuff to your transmission aside from ATF and/or Auto-RX. If you have NOT added anything to your transmission, then you just run 6 ounces through the transmission for 1,500 miles, flush, replace the filter, and you're done.

If you have added something to the transmission, such as LC20, TransX, or any "fixes in a can," then after the first flush, you add another 3 ounces and repeat with the flush, replace filter, and you're done.

Yeah, I added half a qt. of Trans-X because of slow 1st gear engagement in sub zero temperatures. So I'll follow the double Auto-Rx application procedure. The first flush will use ATF+3 if I can find some, because it's cheap, then put in ATF+4 on the final flush. Thanks all.
