Read through the entire thread. Interesting info. It would be really interesting to see a UOA since so many different chemicals were thrown into this engine. Also I wonder how your cats are holding up with all this burn fluids passing through them not to mention your Oxy sensors.

I'm surprised with all the suggestions of running cleaners through this engine not once was AMSOIL's engine flush mentioned. I know it will not do a thing but why leave it out, consider it the kitchen sink. LOL
 
Yeah, it's kinda mixed up, I'm trying to keep two separated threads for ARX and kreen. Cat is fine so far. O2 sensors were changed out before chemical therapy. One was bad when I got the car.

Update:It is 1900 miles on current oci, so I decided to go ahead and change filter,since I had free time. Also went to dealership and bought PCV valve. It looks little different,seems to be slightly wider,abut you can't see it on pics. Valve that I have,still good,you can hear ball,when you shake it. So I saved it for future use.Original from dealer was made in Japan,which is good.

Then I cut open ST filter to see if it was clogged,sorry for quality,it was my cell.There was some crud,but not a lot. So I guess I should not worry about filter getting clogged,non of filter before was clogged.

Put on new ST filter,and topped off with Delvac 15w-40 from stash.
Car runs good, almost no vibrations on idle with AC on. Also took some pictures of filler hole, tried by different angles.
Don't freak out, grey stuff on bolts is moly.

I have used Restore before and it helped just about right away but this engine was truly shot. It was capable of burning all of the oil in the crankcase in one day. I will say the restore got it down to just topping off every few days. I would personally not recommend it unless you are sure that this is pretty much your last attempt to even try to run it any longer. It did work for me though.
 
Checked oil level yesterday, it's only down about 1/6-1/5 of length between min and max, So closer to max, like 5mm down. Sorry guys I'm horrible with imperial measurement systems, metric is my thing

And I'm not even sure that I topped off last time all the way to max. Topped off hot engine, last check--cold, overnight engine.
So far I'm happy about consumption.
ARX--well, it looks same way under my oil cap. Will take a pic to compare in the end of OCI.
Next fill will be 15min fill with leftovers of Delvac 15w-40 and 5w-20 Valvoline and LM Engine detox.
Then winter fill with 5w30 G-oil fot 5k OCI and kreen leftovers as top off first, than Valvoline 5w20 if needed.
Warm time of year will use up my Delvac first with 1q of MMO.Then stash of PP and Synpower comes in play+MMO.
Currently 2300 miles out of 4k on this OCI.

Your engine doesn't actually look that bad now through the fill hole - good job on getting it cleaned up.

The G-Oil fill you are planning will likely clean some, as it is a form of bio-ester, which clean well.
 
Planning to get one more jug of G-oil. Hope will get rebate. Haven't got any rebates yet,Mobil,Valvoline,Purolator and so on...hmm. Part of them was on my old address, I moved couple month ago. But I made redirect at USPS, so I should get them anyway.

To OP, Im not going to click on 19 page ^^, would U use Auto RX again ? mabe different car .
 
Checked oil level today to compare. Looks same. So I'm switching from weekly checks to every gas fill up checks. Will calculate how much oil it will use in 1k miles if any.
 
I am sorry to say that after all the different additives, oil, flushes and products the OP has put into his engine, there is in no way can anyone get any information on what solved what in this thread.

It was almost like the guy couldn't follow SIMPLE instructions on what oil to use during the test and instead started adding more and more [censored] to his oil. He is all over the place.

Sounds like someone with additive A.D.D.

No, not really. Just someone who doesn't like to wait.And I saw that ARX is not doing much. Thread is almost done. 600 miles left on last ARX run. Pictures will be uploaded and thread will not be updated anymore.
All that "[censored]" as you said made car run much better comparing to it's condition a year ago. I am perfectionist, I make my stuff work perfect or close to perfect and/or until expense makes sense. If someone likes to drive cars in [censored] condition-- it is their choice.
Everything got solved with Kreen piston soak and manual cleaning under valve covers.
 
Btw, I checked oil level last fill up this morning. Just barely under max mark. I think it stabilized, It used more oil in the beginning of OCI, and much less by now. Will see how it will go during the winter with light oil and Kreen.
So far I used about 1.5- 2.5 qt of make up oil(includes filter swap),around 3400 on current fill. Make up oil was Delvac 15w-40.

Congratulations-that is an incredible improvement since you purchased the car. I do believe you may have maxed out on the amount of cleaning that can be done with chemicals--IMO I would not be adding anything more than what you had planned for the winter--- light oil and Kreen toward the end of the OCI.

I'm not planning anything extra right now. Will use left over kreen, will use LM flush that I bought( in the end of this OCI), and will probably use dino oil during summer and top offs until it is gone. Then, I have one more jug of G-oil for next winter(2012-13), otherwise all my jugs( PP and Synpower) are gallon jugs, so MMO will be used instead of missing qt, then topped off with oil, that should continue to clean little by little.
Had a thought of adding flush, kreen and MMO thru hole under PCV valve in back cover and breather hose in front cover, to keep ventilation valleys clean. Might be beneficial for everyone, bot just sludge monsters.
