Don't feel bad c3po, I change my PP between 3 and 4K miles on my vehicles. I don't mind wasting the money, I want to know - really know - that my particle count is low. You can't hurt a car by changing the oil too often.

In my owner's manual it said to change the oil and filter if you fell under the category of severe driving, which was stop and go driving or short trips. This was the type of driving I was doing.

Now, if I was driving 50 miles 1 way, and 50 miles back the other way every day, then yes I would think I was wasting my money.

I drove this car everyday for 23 years, from 1985-2008.

Steve, how many cars have you bought since 1985, the extra money that you think I wasted on oil was cheaper than buying another car.

I agree. In fact, today's oils are so good that about the only thing you can do wrong is leave it in too long.
