Auto-Rx is more than just a cleaner. Sure it is sold and marketed as a cleaner. However its made up, primarily, of three esters. One being a naturally occuring fatty alcohol, esterified, which serves as the primary cleaning component of varnish and combustion contaminants. It also contains a polyol ester and an aliphatic ester in it formulation. These little animals were added to give the product properties of enhanced ep and a foundation resistant to oxidation. These are good properties to be added to the package when cleaning a motor. One of the secondary esters is primarily used in aircraft lubrication, the other is a chlor free, phos free, boron free, friction reducer, primarily used in metal fabrication, be it stamping, machining, to keep friction down when heat can be the difference in a good part and the scrap bucket. These are a couple of good allies when removing third party abrasives from your motor. Drive on.

SOunds like that engine flush I bought at Advanced Auto... Oil flush, safe to leave in crankcase. No solvants $3.50

Only if it says Auto-Rx and has a patent number .

As of now I've been recommending Auto-RX for my customers that are switching to Amsoil. I even bought a case to sell locally.

Of coarse this makes my sell harder(it takes a while for the customer to even get to put amsoil in as they will be using a conventional for the Auto-RX portion. But I feel for customers with higher milege engines, it is in their best interst to get the engine as clean as possible, and that just won't happen with the Amsoil engine flush in 15-20 minutes of idling.

If you are really interested in getting your engine clean, do the auto-rx first.

Frank,

I purchased a couple of bottles of Auto-RX over the winter and I was extremely pleased with the results.

I'm looking to order some more for me and some for a friend to try. Are you currently running any "specials" for folks on the Bobistheoilguy site. This site is where I originally found out about your product.

I have used it on my '99 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. This was a retired cruiser with 100K miles on the odometer (and lots of idle time). Auto-RX did a noticable job of cleaning up the motor.

I also used it on my '95 Lincoln Towncar with 86K miles. This car used about 1 quart of oil per 3K miles. I figured the oil seals needed replacement (this is a common problem on the pre '96 Ford 4.6L engines). After one Auto-RX treatment, the oil consumption went down to less than 1/2 quart per 3500 miles. I'm not sure if Auto-RX somehow cleaned and conditioned the valve seals or if possibly I had some sticky rings. Either way, I'm impressed with the results.

I want a friend to try some and I'm hoping your still running a special price.
